Congratulations to Paul from Toronto who exceed all of our expectation with an amazing fundraising drive for pledges for The Amazing Pace 2011! Paul worked very diligently creating awareness of the event among his network of friends and colleagues to raise an astounding $2315 for lung health research.

Paul and his wife (whom he Paced with) will be enjoying a getaway to Intercontinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa is a luxury resort set on Playa Bonita on the Pacific Coast.

Special mention and big thank you to Kelly from Stratford and Sheila from Toronto for their amazing fundraising efforts.

On Saturday October 29th, teams took to the streets of Stratford as part of The Lung Association’s ninth annual Amazing Pace.  The response from the participants was overwhelmingly enthusiastic and their fundraising efforts reflected that – an “amazing” $14,000 was raised to fight respiratory disease.

We had a great time at event headquarters and the Pacers were put to the test on our 10 km circuit.  They had to run, eat, dance, sing and think their way through some crazy challenges; and who could forget all those Mummies!

Big thanks to our amazingsponsors and volunteers too, we couldn’t do it without you.

It was a beautiful day, super fun and all in support of a great cause!

The Amazing Pace was hosted in six Ontario cities on Oct 29, 2011. Toronto, Hamilton, Belleville, London, Stratford and Windsor saw teams racing through the cities in support of the Ontario Lung Association.

Toronto’s Amazing Pace started and ended at Yonge-Dundas Square where JoyRide 150 and Springfree Trampoline had demonstrations throughout the day. Highlights for Pacers included taste testing at Greg’s Ice Cream, a budget challenge at Leon’s at the Roundhouse and memorizing House on Parliament’s beer list. Congratulations to Matt Squared and The Lost Girls who both won the race!

Thank you to the Provincial Gold Sponsor Great-West Life Assurance Company & Transat Holidays!
